Back from Christmas!

We started our own traditions this year since it was our 1st Christmas in our house. On Christmas Eve, Cory and I ate cinnamon rolls for breakfast, watched Christmas movies all day and decorated a Gingerbread house. We also made Christmas shaped cookies. It was nice, I can't wait until our little one is here! Then we visited my sisiter, Scott and Andrew on Christmas Day- Cory fell in love with guitar hero and now realtes every song we hear to that game. Then to Berry then to C-ville. The baby racked up on gifts too, my mom got some pacifiers, a Christmas outfit for next year, a little stuffed lamb, and some cloth diapers that she will have monogrammed later on. Cory's mom gave us some bibs, Caroline and Scott gave us some money, Becca gave us a book, and Misty and Shawn gave us a Christmas baby blanket. I didn't expect all of that, but it was a nice surprise! We also racked up on Home Depot gift certificates so we will be able to do some work to fix up our house. I didn't get any pics of Andrew; we were so preoccupied with Charlie escaping from the deck, I forgot to bring my camera in, so I am hoping my sis will post one.

THANKFUL

I saw on another blog a list of things she was thankful for and thought it was a good idea to write it down. So here's my list:

I am thankful for:

1. My wonderful husband who is so good to me even when I don't deserve it, I am so lucky to share my life with him, I love you Cory!

2. My sweet dogs Chase and Charlie, I don't know what life would be like if they weren't there to greet me every day when I come home; they always want to be near me and snuggle with me and I look forward to that everyday.

3. I have such a great family that I get to spend Thanksgiving with!

4. I am thankful to have a house that I adore and love to come home to.

5. Great friends that I also get to see this weekend.

6. A great job that I am so lucky to have, I could not ask for better co-workers, some of which have become my closest friends that I can always lean on (Kelly and Ali- I love you!) and a kick- a$$ boss who is so easy to work with, get along with, who's fun and cares about me.

7. And finally for the blog world; it has been so nice reconnecting with old friends!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Christmas Fun!

I got this email from a friend and sent it to my email list, but I also wanted fellow bloggers to join in the fun! Just answer the questions and post to your blog. It took me back to some great Christmas memories!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Depends on the size and shape of the present. For kids though I try to wrap so they can unwrap!

2. Real tree or Artificial? We have a fake one, but I have been begging Cory for a real one, I love the smell.

3. When do you put up the tree? As soon as its not weird to have it up, usually the weekend after Halloween; but this year I haven't had time :(

4. When do you take the tree down? New Years Day5. Do you like eggnog?Never had it6. Favorite gift received as a child: I loved jewelry and baby dolls

7. Hardest person to buy for? My Dad, he has everything and I don't know much about hunting and fishing, SO now that I have Cory- he takes care of that one

8. Easiest person to buy for? My sister, I know she loves mani/pedi and when I drew her name last year- that was the 1st thing that popped into my head.9. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? I hope to start doing that this year

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?I don't remember ever being dissappointed

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? The Grinch with Jim Carey, and the cartoon since its a classic.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? A few days before

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? When I was little, obviously I didn't have any money so I gave my sister a photo album that was in her closet un-opened.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?Mom's sausage balls

16. Lights on the tree?Have been clear since I have had my own tree, but this year I want colored17. Favorite Christmas song?Last Christmas by George Michael

18.Travel at Christmas or stay home? Go to Alabama to see family19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?Nope20. Angel on the tree top or a star?Actually a bow, I would love to have a pretty Angel, but have never found one as pretty as the one on our tree growing up

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?1 on Christmas Eve, the rest Christmas morning usually, but sometimed changes22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
The crowds at the mall! It gets SO hot when trying to shop, guess I shouldn't wait SO late right!

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? I love the collectables that Cory and I have gotten when we went to Vegas then to Jaimaica; and I love the ones that my grandmother hand made out of sequins. I talk my mom into letting me take some home each year!

24. What do you want for Christmas this year? A real Christmas tree and a night of Christmas movie-watching with Cory

25. Who is most likely to respond to this? Not sure, I don't do these things that often26. Who is least likely to respond to this? Holly, Heather, and Zelda; they don't check their email as often

27. On a scale of 1 to 10, how many lights (like the Griswalds) do you put up outside at Christmas? 2; Cory is determined to put some out this year

28. A Santa memory? Watching the news and they would track his path

29. Can you name the gifts "my true love gave to me" in the song "Twelve Days of Christmas" Nope

30. If you could make one Christmas wish what would it be?That I don't gain a pound eating all of the Holiday goodies, cause Lord knows I have gained enough lately!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! God bless you and your families!

Overdue Doggie Pics

Charlie and Chase are about 1 year and 3 months old now. Since we moved into our house in June, they are free to play in the backyard all day and use up all of their energy. So when we get home in the evenings all they want to do is snuggle up and sleep. I love my sweet babies!
Here is Charlie; she loves to sunbathe :)

Chase loves the fire, you can always catch him taking a nap near it. He is the most cold- natured dog I have ever known. He likes to sleep on a heating pad and he hates going outside in the winter.

Chase also is a BIG fat baby- there is this tiny tennis ball left over from the puppies they had, and I found it while rearranging last week. Since then, he carries this ball around in his mouth everywhere, and sleeps with it in his mouth too. Its like a paci to him!

Here are some random photo opps! We love it when they turn their heads funny b/c they are listening to us, its so cute!

I love this one!
