A few things...

My Dad is the best! He doesn't like our furniture (thinks its uncomfortable), so he bought us a recliner! It is our Christmas/Carson gift. :) Thank you so much Dad!

Also, Cory finished the dresser that he built for the baby and it turned out beautiful.

I haven't really posted pics of the nursery since we got the baby furniture so I included a few of those. The painting was done by my mom, she is very talented! The letters of Carson's name on the wall were done by my friend Kelly as a gift to us, they are so cute!

New Mother

I have really enjoyed this past week being a mother. I love taking care of my baby. I am sad today because Cory went back to work, so I really miss him; I also know how bad he misses Carson so I feel bad for him.

I am a little worried about Carson, he hasn't had a BM since Saturday morning, so I called his Dr. and they should have a nurse call me soon and tell me what to do.

Here are some of my favorite things about being a mom (other than Carson himself):

1. Being able to sooth him when he is upset.
2. Picking out clothes for him.
3. Combing his hair.
4. Snuggling with him.
5. Watching his funny little faces he makes.

A few "not so great things" about being a mom:

1. My heart breaks everytime he spits up, makes a sad face or seems uncomfortable.
2. I have a headache every morning from sleeping just a few hours at a time.
3. Constant worry

Our 1st Anniversary

Our Weddding Day:

This year we weren't able to celebrate the way we wanted, we had to go low key since I am SO pregnant; so next year we will probably take a big trip together. It was nice spending time together as always and having a "date".
We started with lunch at the Atlanta Fish Market, we love that place and since we were going downtown to the World of Coke, we thought it would be the perfect place to stop on the way. We used to live in Buckhead, so it brought back a lot of sweet memories of when we were a "new couple." And it was a nice feeling knowing how far we have come in such a short time.

Now this is not the most attractive pic of me, but I did want to document what we look like each year.

4th of July

We went to my nephew's 8th B'day party over the weekend. The party was at a little waterpark near where they live. The men in my family had as much fun as the kids on the water slide.

This is my brother doing a handstand after he came down the slide.
My brother again:
I told Cory I wanted some better shots of him coming down the slide b/c the 1st few I couldn't see his face, so he gave me this pose...kinda looks like a Six Flags Advertisement!

My niece Alivia....too cute:

And the man of the hour, my nephew, Andrew. He LOVES the water, he was so cute with all his little friends. I can't believe he is 8!

This cracks me up...their little 90210 pose:)

The latest.....

33 weeks and 2 days:

New symptoms include:

joints in my fingers really hurting
some cramps
harder to get up
walking around for a while is very hard on my feet
swelling of hands and feet
skin on my belly is numb in spots...have not seen any of that in the books so not sure if its normal
exhaustion...just looking at the dishes or laundry is exhausting

Recently we have been preparing for Carson's arrival. We have attended 2 of the 3 baby classes that we signed up for. The last one is next week.

We also bought a few items that I don't expect to get at baby showers (such as mattress, mylicon, safety kit, diaper pail, etc...)

Also, I know its early, but I am excited, impatient and just like to be prepared: I have begun to pack for our stay at the hospital. I don't like to wait until the last minute. For example we had the nursery done months ago...good thing b/c I am so big already I just don't think I would have enough energy to be putting a nursery together. I washed the baby clothes (newborn - 3 months), blankets, bibs, etc... I still have 2 more baby showers so I wanted to get a head start. Cory loves the smell of the clean baby clothes. :)

We went to Home Depot over the weekend and I encountered yet another rude stranger. The cashier asked me what month I was in and when I told her she stared at my belly then asked if I was having a boy. She said she is 5 months along and is barely showing, that she didn't think she would get as big as me. All I said was "it must be nice." What is interesting to me is that she wasn't a skinny person and that is probaby why you couldn't tell she was pregnant, and why would a pregnant woman say something like that, she knows how hard it is to be pregnant w/ out people hurting your feelings. Also, I like going to the baby classes b/c I get to see other pregnant women who are as far along as I am, and I think I look pretty proportional to them. I do notice that the women who carry girls seem to be smaller than those carrying boys. However here is a recent picture of my hugeness:

New baby, Tucker

We went to AL this weekend to see Cory's sister's new baby, Tucker. He is so precious, and so tiny. He slept a lot of course, but I was able to get one picture of him awake.

We were only able to stay one night since Cory had to report to the Masters' on Sunday :(

Mom is coming to keep me company for most of the week and of course do some baby shopping for Carson - I hope to find a bassinet and a glider I like.
