New Mother

I have really enjoyed this past week being a mother. I love taking care of my baby. I am sad today because Cory went back to work, so I really miss him; I also know how bad he misses Carson so I feel bad for him.

I am a little worried about Carson, he hasn't had a BM since Saturday morning, so I called his Dr. and they should have a nurse call me soon and tell me what to do.

Here are some of my favorite things about being a mom (other than Carson himself):

1. Being able to sooth him when he is upset.
2. Picking out clothes for him.
3. Combing his hair.
4. Snuggling with him.
5. Watching his funny little faces he makes.

A few "not so great things" about being a mom:

1. My heart breaks everytime he spits up, makes a sad face or seems uncomfortable.
2. I have a headache every morning from sleeping just a few hours at a time.
3. Constant worry

It looks like motherhood fits you well. Knowing that your baby wants you and only you is an amazing feeling. He is such a doll!

Kimberly! I am so excited for you! I am sure you are told this a million times a day, but cherish EVERY moment. Literally, tomorrow he will be going to school!

Oh, and I hate to push advice on people but this one is worth it. Take time for yourself in these early weeks and be as calm as possible. It makes a world of difference in how they react to things.

Bottom Line... Enjoy Life!

I couldn't agree with Alison more! Stay calm and it will make a world of difference in how Carson responds. Being a mom is the best. There is nothing like being the one who he wants when he is upset. Sometimes only a mother's touch will do!! Take care and enjoy that precious little man!!
