Lately.....

It's been a while since I have posted, but there is not too much going on in the life of this stay-at-home mom. I have been trying to get Carson sleeping by himself, which goes well some nights, trying to figure out which bottles will work the best for him, calling the pediatrician often to get his bowel movements regular (exciting, I know...but the remedy turned out to be .5 oz of apple juice per day).

Carson has gotten to meet my work friends, and tomorrow will meet Cory's work friends as well. Aunt Becca comes to visit often which we really appreciate, b/c it gets a little lonely during the day. Thanks Becca!

Today, I registered him for daycare, but I am secretly hoping that by some miracle I could stay home with him forever, b/c the thought of leaving him w/ strangers every day is heartbreaking. *Any working moms out there please tell me how long I will be sad when I put him in daycare, I hope I get use to it fast, but for now I just dread it.

Beautiful pictures. As for the stay at home vs going to work I have done both I stay home now. At first he is so young only you will be sad for several weeks but when he gets around 14 months and older he will prob cry each time you leave him and that is very very hard. Good Luck to ya

You will get used to it but it is still hard at 3 to leave him. Monday's are the worst but I promise it will get better!

Hey Kimberly~ I am trying to figure out a way to stay at home with Evan. He just turned one and I still hate leaving him. Yesterday he cried when I picked him up from the sitter...talk about making a mommy sad!

Kimberly, I really wish there was one great answer to dealing with the regret of leaving Carson, and even more, I wish I was the one that had that answer for you, but sorry to say, there's not one. It's not easy at all. Truth is.... you will cry, Cory will probably cry, and Carson will eventually cry, but when you pick that baby up every afternoon, he will want nobody in this world but Mommy! That's the greatest feeling in the world. And then, he'll get old enough to run to Daddy when he walks through the door, and try his best to tackle him with a hug. Like I said, it's not easy, but I know you and Cory are both very strong people, and you'll get through it just fine. This is just one more hurdle to cross. Just like labor, it comes and goes. You wonder how you're gonna do it, and the next thing you know, you've done it and you're greatly rewarded. Just don't forget that there's people out there that have been where you're at, and would be glad to offer up advice or just to listen without saying a word. Sorry I've rambled on. Love you very much! You're doing a great job.
